Flooring We Install in Your Home

We have been in business 25+ years, and the work hasn't changed at its core: get the base right, then lay a floor that suits how you live. We install hardwood flooring, luxury vinyl plank, luxury vinyl tile, tile flooring, laminate flooring, carpet installation and carpet tile, plus vinyl composition tile for utility rooms and stair flooring that ties levels together. Each job starts with the same careful look at what's underneath.

    Hardwood Flooring

Solid and engineered hardwood installed over slabs and wood subfloors, starting with a moisture test and a plain report on what your floor can handle.

  • Installer kneeling on a concrete subfloor, clicking gray wood-look vinyl planks into place, with spacers along the white baseboard and a stack of planks nearby

    Luxury Vinyl Plank

Water-resistant vinyl plank installed over a subfloor we've tested for moisture and flatness, with the findings explained before you choose.

  • Tile setter kneeling to press a large gray porcelain tile into combed thinset, with spacers, a notched trowel and a bucket nearby in a kitchen

    Tile Flooring

Porcelain and ceramic tile set over a slab we have checked for flatness, cracks and moisture, with a clear plan before any work begins.

  • Installer kneeling on new dark wood-look laminate planks, tapping a row with a rubber mallet beside blue foam underlayment and a stack of loose planks

    Laminate Flooring

Laminate that looks like wood and stands up to busy rooms, laid only after we check the subfloor for flatness and moisture.

    Carpet Installation

Carpet installed over a checked subfloor, with tack strip replaced where needed, a pad matched to the carpet and power stretching to keep ripples out.

  • Installer kneeling on a concrete slab pressing gray-blue carpet tiles into place in an empty room, with a stack of tiles and an open box nearby

    Carpet Tile

Modular carpet squares installed on a checked, prepared floor, so one stained tile can be swapped out without redoing the whole room.

  • Installer kneeling on a concrete subfloor, clicking a wood-look vinyl plank into fresh rows with black spacers along the white baseboard of an empty room

    Vinyl Composition Tile

Tough, low-cost 12-inch vinyl composition tile for kitchens, laundry rooms and utility spaces, laid over a slab we have checked and smoothed first.

  • Installer in dusty work pants fitting new dark wood-look treads on a staircase, with adhesive on a bare riser, a rubber mallet on a step and planks stacked nearby

A Flooring Company That Explains Before It Sells

We started doing flooring because we liked work you can stand on and see for years. Over time we noticed that the failures we were called to fix almost always came back to the same thing: someone skipped the inspection. A plank floor over a humped slab, laminate laid on damp concrete, tile on a subfloor that flexed.

So we built the way we work around looking first. You'll hear what we found, why it matters and what your real options are. Then the choice is yours, and we install it with the same attention we gave that first look.

Why Homeowners Let Us Look First

Most flooring problems start under the floor, not on top of it. That's why we check underneath before we talk products, and why we tell you what we see even when it means a smaller job.

We check the slab or subfloor first
We look for high spots, dips, cracks and old adhesive. A floor laid over an uneven base squeaks, gaps or cracks early, so we find those spots before you pick a material.
Moisture readings, not guesses
We take moisture readings before recommending wood or laminate. If the numbers say a vapor barrier is needed, or that vinyl plank is the safer choice for that room, we tell you and show you the reading.
Findings you can actually follow
We walk you through what we found in everyday words and point to it in the room. You'll know what needs fixing, what can stay and what is simply a preference.
No upselling to a bigger job
If your existing base is sound, we say so. If one room needs leveling and the rest don't, the estimate reflects exactly that.
Your home treated with care
We cover walkways, keep tools in one area and clear out scraps and dust at the end of each day. You should be able to live in your home while we work.

What Goes Into Your Flooring Estimate

Same-size rooms rarely end up with the same total. Your material choice plays a part, and so does the condition under the old floor and the shape of the space. These are the things we weigh when we put your numbers together.

After our visit we give you a written estimate broken into line items, so you can see what each part of the job covers. If something changes once the old floor is up, we stop, show you, and talk it over before doing more.

Square footage and layout
More area means more material and labor. Rooms with closets, angles or lots of doorways take more cuts and more time than open, square spaces.
The material you choose
Solid hardwood, porcelain tile, vinyl plank, laminate and carpet all differ in material cost and in how long they take to install. Tile, with its setting and grouting, usually takes the most labor.
Condition of the subfloor
Leveling compound, patching cracks or replacing damaged plywood adds to the job. This is the factor our inspection is built to catch, so it shows up on the estimate instead of halfway through install day.
Tearing out what's there now
Old carpet and pad come up fast. Tile set in mortar and sheet vinyl stuck down with adhesive are slower work, and the leftover glue often has to be scraped or ground away before anything new can go down.
Moisture control
Many homes here sit on concrete slabs, and the Gulf Coast humidity keeps them damp. When readings call for a vapor barrier or a moisture-tolerant underlayment, that material is listed on its own line.
Stairs, transitions and trim
Stair treads, nosing, thresholds between rooms and new baseboard or quarter round are priced separately so you can see each piece.

Flooring Questions We Hear Often

Why do you inspect before recommending a floor?

Because the subfloor decides how long any floor lasts. Moisture in a slab can ruin wood or laminate, and an uneven base causes gaps, clicks and cracked tile. Checking first lets us recommend something that will actually hold up in that room.

Can you put new flooring over my old floor?

Sometimes. Vinyl plank or laminate can go over some flat hard floors that are still firmly stuck down, but carpet, loose tile and damaged vinyl need to come out. We'll tell you which applies after we see it, along with how it affects door clearance and transitions.

What flooring works best in kitchens and bathrooms?

Tile and luxury vinyl plank or luxury vinyl tile handle water well and are the usual picks for wet areas. Hardwood and most laminate are less forgiving of spills and splashes. We'll talk through the tradeoffs in feel, look and upkeep for your room.

How long does installation take?

A single bedroom of carpet or vinyl plank is often a day. Whole-floor installs, hardwood that needs time to acclimate and tile with grout and curing take longer. We give you a realistic schedule with your estimate.

Do I need to move my furniture?

The rooms need to be clear for us to work. Let us know what you have when we visit, especially heavy pieces or electronics, and we'll talk through how to handle it before install day.

Which floor holds up best with pets and kids?

Luxury vinyl plank and tile shrug off most scratches, spills and muddy paws, which is why busy families often lean that way. Carpet tile is another option for playrooms, since a stained square can be swapped out on its own. We'll show you samples and talk about how each one wears over time.

Do you stand behind your installation work?

Yes. We offer a 1-year workmanship warranty on all installations. If something we installed isn't holding up the way it should, let us know and we'll come back to look at it.

How do I get a price for my project?

Start with a phone call and we'll set up a visit to your home. After measuring and checking the subfloor, we give you a written estimate with each part of the job on its own line.

How a Flooring Job Runs With Us

Nothing gets ordered or torn out until you've seen what we found and agreed on the plan.

  1. 1

    A phone conversation

You tell us which rooms, what's bothering you about the current floor and what you have in mind. We set a time to come look.

  2. 2

    The in-home inspection

We measure each room, check the subfloor for level and damage, and take moisture readings. We also note doorway heights, stairs and anything that affects transitions.

  3. 3

Plain findings and a written estimate

We explain what we saw, recommend the materials that suit each room and give you a line-item estimate. You can take your time deciding.

  4. 4

    Install day

We protect walkways, remove the old flooring, prepare the base and install the new floor. Larger or tile jobs run over several days, and we tell you the schedule up front.

  5. 5

    Walkthrough and cleanup

We walk the finished floor with you, point out care basics for the material and leave the rooms swept and clear of debris.
